DARLINGTON – Leo F. Royer, 61, of Rt. 1, Colfax, died Saturday evening in St. Vincent Hospital at Indianapolis. He had been a farmer all his life. Mr. Royer was a 1933 graduate of Linden High School. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Darlington Masonic Lodge, Farmers’ Union and Darlington Conservation Club. Born Aug. 7, 1914, in Montgomery County, he was a son of John C. and Zola Mahoy Royer. He was married to Mary M. Campbell on March 27, 1937, at Darlington. She survives. Also surviving are a son, James L. of Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews. A brother, John, and a sister, Vena, are deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Burkhart Funeral Home, Darlington Chapel. Michael N. Bowman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. Masonic rites will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
